Starting LUMRYZ®

Once you and your healthcare provider have decided LUMRYZ is right for you, they will work with you to consider the best way to start treatment*

Starting with LUMRYZ

If you ARE NOT currently taking an oxybate:

Your healthcare provider may start you on the lowest dose of LUMRYZ and increase your dose gradually over time until you reach the dose that’s right for you.

Switching to LUMRYZ

If you ARE currently taking an oxybate:

Your healthcare provider may switch you to the closest dose—equal to the amount of medicine you’re taking now.

Note: If you often miss your second nightly dose, be sure to tell your healthcare provider so they can determine your appropriate starting dose.

*For pediatric dosing, please see the full Prescribing Information.

It may take time before noticing a difference with LUMRYZ

In the clinical trial, some people saw improvement in their symptoms by week 3 on a 6 g dose, while others saw improvement at week 13 on the 9 g dose.†

†The LUMRYZ double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial included adults with narcolepsy treated with LUMRYZ (n=107). The results measured at Week 3 (n=88), Week 8 (n=77), and Week 13 (n=69) showed daytime symptom improvement of people on the 6 g, 7.5 g, and 9 g doses of LUMRYZ, respectively. Individual results may vary.

Melanie
Green quote

“I think it's important to stay in contact with your healthcare team when you start a new treatment. Early after starting LUMRYZ, I shared with my healthcare team how I was feeling (side effects and my symptoms). This information helped my healthcare team and me discuss adjustments to my treatment plan.”

Because everyone’s experience is different, it’s important to share all your narcolepsy symptoms, goals, and treatment experiences with your healthcare team.
